One Heart started years ago in an attempt to portray racism as the short-sighted paradigm it is. The initial idea revolved around x-rays and how looking at x-rays one could not tell the race, religion or any other segregating characteristic other than the image was human.
Our original design was black and gray stick figures each showing the skeleton bones through the X-rays but having the same red heart (as seen below)
Come full circle to 2023 Pride month and we took the initial non discriminatory design idea and added the inclusive colors while keeping the red heart and joining hands in solidarity acceptance. One Heart emerged and stands today as a call for embracing the beautiful differences of all humans and the one heart that beats in all of us.
