“NOW” defined – Eliminate Regrets

“NOW” is defined as:  Immediately, without further delay, at once.

Seems pretty clear doesn’t it?  So why is it that when we decide to move forward with a dream project for ourselves; saying “I love you” to someone or helping a friend, we always seem to postpone, procrastinate and vacillate.  So many things get put on the back burner, we drag our feet and we kick the proverbial can down the road for another day.  Recently, a quote was brought to our attention and it was Ryan O’Neal speaking about Farrah Fawcett.  There was a thick layer of regret laid upon the words he spoke.

He said; “I miss her terribly.  There’s so much I forgot to tell her”.  There’s a lesson to be learned from these words.  You can certainly feel the love they shared, but the bitter pill to be swallowed is the regret that not everything he wanted to say was said.  He’d forgotten to tell her things, perhaps they were intimate; or maybe it was just the combination to a locker or a telephone number; but that fact remains he did not and now lives with regret.

A similar storyline is captured in this article from Positive Thoughts and also found in “The Story” behind LiFE is NOW… What are we waiting for?  There’s no better time than NOW.  Pick up the phone and tell someone you love them, start your dream project even if it’s baby steps (just get it started).  NOW is the time to eliminate the regret you could feel in the future.

There’s a reason why we didn’t name our company LiFE is VACILLATION…
